Moots Ranch Rally 2017
Welcome to Steamboat Springs, CO. The home of arguably the best bikes built anywhere in the world. Moots uses only one material to build their amazing bikes. That material is Titanium that comes from a mill in Washington State. They build roughly 1000 bicycle frames a year each one by hand. Built one at a time not one detail gets overlooked.
When our sales rep Jeremiah Gantzer asked Crystal and I if District Bicycles wanted to come to the factory for a VIP gravel camp a few days before the 4th Moots Ranch Rally our immediate response was YES. Yes absolutely. Our District crew was made up by Billy Powell, Kelly Lyda, Tom Swan, and Brett and Myla Stevens. We got to Steamboat on Wednesday ready to ride titanium US made bicycles all over the rocky mountains. The gravel roads in this area are completely perfect. No traffic, small rocks, incredible views. It really couldn't get much better. Studio Velo out of the Bay area in California made up the other bike shop at the gravel camp. Stephanie Snaman brought an amazing group of women to come ride with us all week. Stephanie is the event director for the Jensie Gran Fondo of Marin which is one of the most incredible Gran Fondo's in the country. A few of these women had never ridden gravel before and to watch them smile more and more as the miles went by was amazing.
A massive thank you to Jeremiah Gantzer, Jon Cariveau the head of marketing at Moots, Butch Boucher the President of Moots, and Brent Whittington the new owner of Moots as of almost 2 years ago for making us all feel like family. It is not common for a bike company with the pedigree of Moots to welcome shops into their manufacturing facility, take them on private rides, buy us beers afterward and remember all of our names within the first hours of meeting everyone. Moots. You truly have set the bar high in every way, and we are speechless. The following are pictures from the entire week ending with photos from the 4th annual Moots Ranch Rally that happened on Saturday June 17th. Jon Cariveau is the ride director for the Ranch Rally and has worked so hard to make it amazing. The route is absolutely incredible. Thank you all for checking out the photos!
